How it works

From the upload to the reviewer.

Uploading original

We've noticed you've uploaded an edited photo,
Please also upload the original

Upload original

Original unchanged
01

Upload content and share

Someone selects and uploads a photo or video, for instance as part of an insurance claim or submitting a photo to a news organisation. Simply select and share.

No material change to the usual upload process.

02

If the content arrives already altered, we know

InReality Upload takes what was uploaded and understands whether it has been manipulated in some form, e.g. metadata that has been wiped, whether the content was signed at an earlier point, and other traces left in the file.

If we suspect the content has been altered, we ask the uploader in real time for the original photo. Reducing any friction for the reviewer. Once received, we then match the original to the edited version and show exactly what edits have been made using InReality Compare.

03

Verify authenticity

A reviewer can look at the content and verify its authenticity. A full content passport is shown, including any edits to the content made.

Where an edited and original photo is uploaded, InReality Compare is used to show each and every edit made to the content. So you know what is original, and what, if any, edits have been made.

Content passport

Once uploaded, anyone can verify authenticity.

A shareable view of the media's origin, integrity and edits. Anyone viewing the content can see the information made available with its passport, not just the team that received it.

03

Support quicker assessment

Give teams a trusted intake path before they make decisions about the content. Supporting faster OSINT.

04

Meet people where they are

Shape the upload experience around the wider customer or contributor journey. No new apps to download.

Integration & verification

Fit the workflow. Keep the evidence.

API · Connect the workflow

Add a media intake step to an existing claims portal, newsroom submission flow or marketplace. Pass submitted files and their available provenance into the review process your team already uses.

SDK · Bring it into the experience

Place the upload experience inside your Android, iOS or web journey, using the phone or browser people already have. When an edited file is noticed, the journey can prompt for the original alongside it.

Integration · Works with what you run

Slot media intake into the systems already receiving content. Files, provenance and edit information arrive together in the review process your team already uses, with no new workflow to run.
